The Briefings, which have evolved from the Rail100 Breakfast Meetings, provide an opportunity to hear from and connect with key individuals in a private setting, where they can take part in an open and honest Q&A session with members. Speakers will include policymakers and influencers, such as Secretaries of State for Transport and Rail Ministers, Office for Rail and Road executives, and GBRTT management, as well as senior business leaders. Meetings are strictly confidential. There are no journalists present, other than the RAIL team, enabling members to speak freely.
The next meeting will take place on Thursday 10th October, hosted at Digital Catapult, Euston, London.
Confirmed guest speakers include David Horne, CEO of LNER, who will provide his view on running a successful train operating company, including the challenges in managing timetables on a complex, mixed line with open access, freight, long distance and local services, level boarding trains and ticketing policies.
